dump truck traveling on the roadSCOTTSDALE, AZ – A collision involving a motorcycle and a dump truck in Scottsdale left one person dead on Monday afternoon.

According to a report by 12 News, the two vehicles collided at about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Happy Valley Road.

The circumstances leading up to the collision are unclear at this time. However, police say the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries as a result.

The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation into the fatal crash.

Delays were reported in the area for several hours following the wreck.
