Motorcyclist Dead Following Midtown Tucson Crash

TUCSON, AZ – Officers with the Tucson Police Department reported a single fatality following a midtown motorcycle crash on Sunday.

According to KOLD News 13, the accident occurred along First Street between the intersections of Grant Road and Glenn Street.

Tucson Fire Department first responders rendered aid to the motorcyclist, but despite their efforts, the victim died at the scene.

The motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Erik Dominic Guzman, was traveling north on First Avenue on a blue 2017 Yamaha YZFR1 motorcycle when he was struck by a red 2021 Jeep Gladiator that failed to yield at a stop sign.

The driver of the Jeep, 48-year-old Daniel Warren Foster, was determined by a DUI officer to be impaired at the time of the crash. He is being held in the Pima County Jail after being arrested on charges of manslaughter and DUI.

There may be additional charges following a full investigation.
