Tucson Police Identify Midtown Motorcycle Crash Victim

TUCSON, AZ – Investigators with the Tucson Police Department released the identity of a motorcyclist killed in a crash in Midtown Tuesday evening.

According to KGUN, 46-year-old Tyson Herbert Waltke was driving his 1985 Honda motorcycle eastbound on West Wetmore Road when he collided with the passenger side of a 2016 Toyota Rav4 in the multipurpose lane.

Emergency services pronounced Waltke dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Neither driver possessed a valid driver’s license.

The driver of the Rav4 remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
