Huge Fire Engulfs Apartment Building in Central Phoenix

A large fire broke out at a central Phoenix apartment complex Tuesday morning, Aug. 25, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. The apartment had been under construction for months. Fire crews arrived on the scene around 6 a.m. and discovered the two-story apartment building near 12th Street and Indian School Road engulfed in flames, according to Phoenix Fire Department.

Crews were still putting out hot spots after a fighting the fire for several hours. No firefighters were injured in the process, and crews were able to prevent the flames from reaching nearby buildings. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause.
