The two-vehicle crash took place at about 2 a.m. along Maricopa Casa Grande Highway, near the intersection with Russell Road.

Both drivers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The front-seat passenger in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unclear if impairment played a role in the crash at this time.
