MADD June Newsletter Mentions “Duct Tape Tim” Fundraiser

The Phillips Law Group is excited to announce that our firm was mentioned in Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s (MADD) June 2017 newsletter for the success of our “Duct Tape Tim” fundraiser.

To raise money for the 2017 Phoenix Walk Like MADD event, the Phillips Law Group hosted the fundraiser in which employees purchased pieces of duct tape and taped managing attorneyTim Tonkinto a glass window in our building’s lobby.

Strips of tape were sold for $1 each or $3 for five strips and $10 for 12 strips, which allowed us to raise more than $100 in support of the cause. In total, the firm has raised $2,536.25 for the event, which will be held on Oct. 21 at the Phoenix Zoo.

Committed to Ending Drunk Driving

Walk Like MADD is a nation-wide signature fundraising event that raises awareness about the dangers of drunk driving.

In 2016, tens of thousands of people in more than 90 cities throughout the U.S. participated in the event and raised more than $3 million to fund MADD’s programs and services focused on ending drunk driving.

The Phillips Law Group is honored to be a title sponsor for Phoenix’s Walk Like MADD event and to have staff members like Tonkin who regularly participate as “walkers.”

We are long-time supporters of MADD’s initiative to end drunk driving and the organization’s efforts to help victims and families who have suffered because of a drunk driver.
