Man Identified in Fatal Two-Car Crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Investigators with the Phoenix Police Department have released the identity of the man killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday night.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, 38-year-old Carlos Uriarte was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on 55th Avenue when he crashed into a Jeep Cherokee near the intersection at Indian School Road at about 10 p.m.

Police believe that just before the accident occurred, Uriarte was traveling at a high rate of speed and ran a red light. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.

The occupants in the Jeep all sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
