PHOENIX, AZ – More than 500 Phoenix residents were without power late Friday night after a vehicle collided with a power pole in the Camelback East Village neighborhood.

According to ABC 15, police say that several power poles were damaged as the result of the single-vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of 24th Street and Roosevelt Street at about 11 p.m. The downed lines caused outages for customers between Van Buren Street and McDowell Road.

It is unclear if the driver was injured.

Traffic restrictions were put in place while police investigated and Arizona Public Service (APS) utilities crews responded to the incident.
