Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Two Vehicles in Tucson

pedestrian crosswalk signTUCSON, AZ – Police in Tucson are searching for the two drivers who fatally struck a pedestrian last Friday.

According to a report by KGUN, 49-year-old Manfred G. Rivas was crossing North Stone Avenue near the intersection with Fort Lowell Road when he was hit by a white vehicle at about 6 p.m. As Rivas was lying in the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle.

Neither driver stopped to render assistance.

Rivas was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No word on whether anyone has been arrested.
