Hit-and-Run Crash Seriously Injures Three in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police reported several injuries resulting from a hit-and-run crash late Sunday night, Fox 10 Phoenix reports.

The accident took place at about 11 p.m. in the westbound lane of Southern Avenue near the intersection with 34th Place.

Responding officers say that a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe and 2006 Chrysler Pacifica collided after both drivers lost control of their vehicles. The impact caused the Tahoe to veer off the roadway and the Chrysler to cross into the eastbound lanes, where it struck a 2020 Hyundai Elantra.

The unidentified driver of the Tahoe left the scene before authorities arrived. The 21-year-old female driver of the Chrysler sustained serious injuries in the crash, as did a 31-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman who were occupants of the Hyundai.
