Hit-and-Run Crash Puts FedEx Driver in Hospital

GOODYEAR, AZ – A FedEx semi-truck driver is recovering in the hospital following a late-night collision on I-10 Sunday.

According to CBS 5, the incident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-10 near the exit to Bullard Avenue.

Investigators with the Arizona Department of Public Safety believe a Honda sedan struck the FedEx truck, sending it off the right side of the road and into a pole. The driver of the Honda immediately exited the freeway, fleeing the scene of the crash.

The truck driver was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor back injuries sustained in the crash.

No further information about the driver responsible for the collision has been released at this time.
