PHOENIX, AZ - Three people, including two children, were hospitalized following a head-on crash with an armored truck on Wednesday.
According to Fox 10 Phoenix, a passenger vehicle collided with the armored vehicle near the intersection of 86th Drive and Thomas Road in Phoenix.
Following the collision, all three occupants of the car — including the 29-year-old male driver, an 11-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl — were rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition.
The occupants of the armored vehicle, the driver and a passenger, were both treated for their injuries at the scene.
Police say the driver of the car showed signs of impairment. They believe his vehicle had been traveling at a high rate of speed at the time.
