red police lights atop police carGILBERT, AZ – A collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV shut down Loop 202 in Gilbert on Tuesday.

According to a report by Fox 10 Phoenix, the incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway near Williams Field Road.

Few details about the crash are available at this time. The severity of the injuries sustained as a result is also unclear.

The westbound lanes were closed for about two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
