Firefighters Rescue Three from Car in Canal on Sunday

PHOENIX, AZ – Three individuals were pulled from a vehicle that drove into a northeast Phoenix canal early Sunday morning.

According to ABC 15, officials responded requests for a water rescue near the intersection of 16th Street and Indian School Road at around 4:00 a.m.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a passenger vehicle overturned in the water. They deployed a 14-foot ladder to lift the people from the vehicle onto the embankment.

All occupants were evaluated for injuries at the scene. They declined further medical attention.
