What Is Feeding Arizona? Latest Event Makes a Big Impact
Feeding Arizona is a very special event Phillips Law Group organizes that is especially near and dear to the hearts of its team members.
But what exactly is Feeding Arizona? In a nutshell, it involves bringing goods and services directly to the homeless in our own backyard – and hopefully, making a big difference in the process.
At the beginning of planning, a Feeding Arizona event involves volunteers first preparing bags of items to bring to the homeless in the Phoenix area, then bringing those items straight to those unhoused individuals in their community. The items given out include clothes like socks, hats, and shirts, as well as hygienic products.
But that’s not where this important work ends. During a Feeding Arizona event, volunteers with Phillips Law Group and its event partners also hand out meals to the homeless and offer other services on the ground – including haircuts, manicures, facials, and more.
During the most recent Feeding Arizona opportunity, nearly 30 volunteers – with a little over 20 from the Phoenix Phillips team – helped hand out more than 300 meals to the homeless.
The food was provided by Carolina’s Mexican food and included delicious beef and chicken tacos, rice and beans, and more. Even pets of the homeless were included, since dog food was also available to individuals who might need it for their furry friends!
Perhaps the greatest impact made by Feeding Arizona volunteers was in the hearts of the individuals who were assisted on August 13. Volunteers said unhoused people who came for the event got emotional after receiving basic care that many take for granted – a haircut might seem like a small thing to most, but to our homeless neighbors, it can make them feel seen again.
After all, the true goal of a Feeding Arizona event is to make our unhoused neighbors feel seen and loved and a part of the community we all share. Partners like Carolina’s, Studio 32 Grooming Lounge – which assisted with providing haircuts – and Restore, Rebuild, Renew, all assisted in that ultimate goal.
The latest Feeding Arizona experience is one that the volunteers who took part in it will remember for a long time. More volunteers are always needed and welcome, so keep an eye on this space and the Phillips Law Group social media accounts to be the first to hear about our next event. You never know the impact you could make.
“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.”
They knew exactly how to explain the case to me in a way that I would understand it. They gave me hope that my life wasn’t over.
Two family members were in a bad wreck a couple of years ago, and as a result called Phillips Law to represent them. Montana Thompson was the attorney assigned to the case with the help of Nemo Farr as legal assistant. Mr. Thompson litigated a very generous settlement for both my stepdaughter and her son. Because my grandson is a minor, I decided to act as conservator for him to ensure the settlement was safe and secure. Montana helped with that process, but it was Nemo who went way above and beyond the call in finding a financial institution to use for the restricted account. There were some glitches in that process but Nemo helped navigate them with a calm expertise which belies his age. I would consider them both great representatives of the level of commitment to their clients and assets to their firm.
My paralegal , Caroline , was on top of her game - very responsive and always answered any questions I had and in a timely manner . My attorney Rob ,was the best attorney I ever had . Phillips Law Group does so much for the community!!! I especially enjoy seeing Juan Roque out there. This gentle giant always has a smile on his face and is a part of a caring and giving team.
Sophia H. at Phillips Law Group has been an absolute joy to work with -quick, responsive, and professional in every interaction. Her breadth of knowledge, from administration to IT to finance, is nothing short of impressive.
Great experience! Took care of pretty much everything, and I always felt like I want in good hands. Caroline Fa. was also a great help with everything. She always returned my calls and I never felt unheard. Even after my case she would still help me with my insurance documents.
I was recently served court documents that I was being sued from an accident that happened years ago. For someone who has never been through something like this and not familiar with the court lingo or where to even begin, it was very frustrating and stressful. I reached out to a family member who knew Tracy Laskos and the great reputation of Phillips Law Group and within the hours of the initial call for help, I had a direct number to Lead Attorney Nassar. Nassar heard my case and almost instantly put me at ease by explaining the process and how easy it was to handle. Nassar spoke to me like he was a friend, not like I was a client. I am so grateful to Tracy, Nasar and of course my cousin Stephanie for helping out and giving me the direction that I needed to get through this situation. I plan on referring my friends, family and patients that are in need of a personal injury Attorney to Phillips Law Group. Thank you!!
Phillips law group is a great firm! Caroline is great.
I want to thank attorneys Tim and Robert and the paralegal Bethany for all they had done on my case. They were all empathetic, knowledgeable and professional. All my questions were answered, emails returned in a timely matter, and promises fulfilled. I recommend Phillips Law Group if you need help with your injury case.
