Fatal Phoenix Rollover Crash Yesterday

PHOENIX, AZ – One person died and two others were hospitalized following a single-vehicle collision along I-17 Thursday morning.

According to KTAR, the three people were occupants of a car that rolled over at about 3:50 a.m. while traveling north near the exit to New River Road.

Troopers believe the driver lost control for unknown reasons and went off the freeway before rolling over on the access road.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, one passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The driver was also hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
