CHANDLER, AZ - Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety closed multiple lanes on I-10 following a fatal crash Wednesday night.
According to AZ Family, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of the interstate between Phoenix and Tucson near Wild Horse Pass at around 11:15 p.m.
Police have not released any details regarding the cause of the crash. However, the Arizona Department of Public Safety has confirmed that a tribal member was involved, and that one person died.
All eastbound lanes on this portion of I-10 were closed for a few hours, causing a major backup on the highway. At least one lane has since been reopened.
