PHOENIX, AZ – Investigators with the Phoenix Police Department are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run collision that killed a pedestrian on Friday evening.

According to ABC 15, the unidentified male pedestrian was struck near the intersection of 7th Avenue and Southern Avenue sometime before 7 p.m.

Officers discovered the man lying in the roadway. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.

Police believe the vehicle involved in the crash was gray or silver in color. No further information about the suspect is available at this time.
