Hit-and-Run Crash Kills 63-Year-Old in South Phoenix

crosswalk lines on roadPHOENIX, AZ – A woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver in south Phoenix on Wednesday night, ABC 15 reports.

The incident took place sometime before 10 p.m. near the intersection of South 16th Street and Broadway Road.

Investigators say 63-year-old Pamela Desoto was struck by a dark-colored vehicle as she attempted to cross Broadway. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

The driver responsible for the crash was gone by the time authorities arrived. Details regarding their identity are unclear at this time.
