One Dead, Two Injured in Phoenix Hit-and-Run Crash

blurred daytime image of ambulance enroute PHOENIX, AZ – One man died, and two other people were rushed to the hospital following a hit-and-run collision at a busy West Phoenix intersection on Friday.

According to 12 News, the crash occurred at about 10 a.m., just east of the intersection at 71st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Responding officers say a Chevrolet Tahoe collided with a sedan and a pickup truck under unknown circumstances. The driver of the sedan was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died. Two people in the sedan were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver in the Chevrolet fled the scene before police arrived. It is unclear if any arrests have been made at this time.
