PHOENIX, AZ - Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a 65-year-old man in west Phoenix late Saturday night, KTAR reports.
The victim was found lying in the roadway at about 11:45 p.m. near the interaction of 35th Avenue and McDowell Road. He died at the scene before emergency responders could transport him to the hospital.
Witnesses told investigators the man was struck by a southbound black SUV that continued without stopping after the collision.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
