Man Killed, Two Others Seriously Hurt in Phoenix Crash

police respond to fatal head-on crashPHOENIX, AZ – A man was killed and two others were seriously injured in a three-car crash in north Phoenix Sunday morning.

According to 3TV/CBS 5, a sedan traveling west on Northern Avenue crossed into the eastbound lanes at 31st Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. and slammed head-on into a minivan. A third vehicle then crashed into the rear of the minivan.

The minivan’s driver, 65-year-old Hajric Mirsad, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Two other unidentified men were hospitalized in serious condition.

It is unclear what caused the driver to drift into the oncoming lanes. Our team will update this blog should more information come to light.
