Young Woman Identified in Fatal Tucson Head-On Crash

TUCSON, AZ – Deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department have released the identity of the 23-year-old woman killed in a southeast Tucson collision Sunday night.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, the head-on crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m. along South Houghton Road, just north of the intersection with East Brekke Road.

Responding deputies believe 23-year-old Graciela Alanis died after her sedan crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with an oncoming SUV.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Impairment does not appear to be a factor. The investigations are still ongoing.
