Suspected Drunk Driver Kills Two in Crash on I-10

Blurred tunnel vision from a driver's perspectiveTUCSON, AZ – Two people were struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while changing a tire along I-10 in Tucson on Friday evening.

According to KGUN, the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-10, near the exit to West Miracle Mile.

Arizona DPS says that two people had stopped on the shoulder to fix a flat tire when a vehicle careened off the roadway and struck both individuals and their car, as well as a second car whose driver had stopped to assist.

The drivers were standing outside of their vehicles when the accident occurred. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver in the third vehicle, 36-year-old Lucas Conway, was taken into custody and is facing charges of DUI, manslaughter, criminal damage, and endangerment.
