Four-Year-Old Killed in Collision with a Cow

COCHISE CO., AZ – A child was killed when the vehicle they were riding in hit a cow on US 191 late Monday night.

According to KOLD, the collision took place just outside of the town of Pearce when the driver of a van struck a cow in the roadway and swerved into oncoming traffic.

The van was subsequently struck by an oncoming vehicle, injuring the driver and a four-year-old passenger. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear whether the second driver involved was hurt.
