TUCSON, AZ - A woman is dead and another person was rushed to the hospital following a multi-vehicle collision in east Tucson last Saturday afternoon.
According to KOLD, the two vehicles collided at about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Craycroft Road and East Golf Links Road.
Police say the accident occurred when the driver of a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu attempted to turn left from the eastbound lanes of Golf Links Rd. onto Craycroft Rd. and was struck by a 2020 Jeep Cherokee traveling west.
Both the driver of the Jeep and a passenger in the Chevrolet were taken to the hospital, the latter succumbing to her injuries a short time later. She has since been identified as Catherine Patterson, 69.
There is no word on the condition of the driver at this time.
