Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported in East Tucson

TUCSON, AZ - Investigators with the Tucson Police Department have released the identity of the man killed in an east-side pedestrian accident Saturday.
According to KGUN, the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Golf Links Road near the intersection with South Mann Avenue.
Police believe 51-year-old Ascencion R. Morales was attempting to cross the road outside of the designated crosswalk when he was fatally struck by a 2005 Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Corolla remained at the scene to render assistance and cooperate with police. No charges have been filed against that individual at this time.
