Motorcycle Rider Dies in Motorcycle Crash late Tuesday

TUCSON, AZ – A 30-year-old Tucson man is dead following a motorcycle vs. auto collision on the east side late Tuesday night.

According to KOLD, the incident occurred at about 10 p.m. within the intersection of South Wilmot Road and E Eli Drive.

Investigators at the scene say Randy S. Pence was riding his 2007 Triumph in the northbound lanes on Wilmot Rd. when a gray BMW sedan made a left turn in front of him and collided with his motorcycle.

Witnesses at the scene say Pence was riding at a high rate of speed when the incident occurred. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
