Body Found After Mobile Home Catches Fire

A man’s body was found in a mobile home fire early Monday morning, Aug. 31, according to the Phoenix Police Department. The fire began around 1 a.m. near19th Avenue and Greenway Road. The fire started on the roof of the mobile home, and firefighters quickly got the blazes under control, according to Capt. Todd Keller with the Phoenix Fire Department.

After the fire was extinguished, investigators found the body of a man inside, according to Sgt. Mercedes Fortune with Phoenix Police. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The victim’s name has not been released, and the fire is still under investigation.
