PHOENIX, AZ – Two people were injured when a dump truck drove off a freeway overpass in central Phoenix Monday afternoon.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, the truck careened off I-17 at South 19th Avenue and fell 20 feet onto the road below.
Investigators say the truck’s two occupants were transported to local hospitals to be treated for minor injuries they sustained in the crash. No one else was hurt.
The left lane of I-17 was blocked for some time while the debris was cleared from the roadway.
