PHOENIX, AZ - One woman was killed and another was arrested following a suspected DUI crash in north Phoenix early Friday morning, KTAR News reports.
Police say a black sedan was rear-ended by a red SUV at the intersection of Camelback Road and Central Avenue at around 2:30 a.m.
Andreanna Blaine, a 37-year-old passenger in the sedan, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition. She succumbed to her injuries the following day.
The driver of the SUV, 42-year-old Thaila J. Begaye, showed signs of impairment at the scene. She was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. More charges will likely be filed due to Blaine’s passing.
It is unclear if there were any other injuries as a result of the crash.
