A man was shot while sitting in his vehicle on Monday, Sept. 7. As theman then drove off, he collided with another car, authorities reported to AZ Central News. The Phoenix Police Department responded at around 5:30 p.m. to reports of gunshots near 47th Avenue and Wahalla Lane.

They found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police stated that the victim told them another man, who was on foot, shot him while he was sitting in hisparked vehicle. The victim then drove away, and his vehicle crashed into another car.

According to authorities, an “unknown number of occupants” in the victim’s vehicle fled the scene before police arrived. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
