PHOENIX, AZ - One person was killed following a suspected DUI crash in northwest Phoenix on Tuesday night.
According to a report by 12 News, the crash took place at about 9:30 p.m. as the driver of a pickup truck was attempting to turn left from Cactus Road to 43rd Avenue.
The left-turning driver failed to yield the right of way to another pickup truck that was heading west on Cactus Rd.
The driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The four occupants in the eastbound vehicle were not seriously injured in the crash.
An initial investigation suggested that impairment may have played a role in the fatal crash.
