Stock image of a bus lane MESA, AZ – One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after a pickup truck slammed into a bus stop in Mesa on Friday night.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, a red Toyota Tacoma jumped the median on Dobson Road and crossed several lanes of oncoming traffic before crashing into a bus stop near Broadway Road.

Three people were standing at the bus stop when the incident occurred. Two were rushed to a nearby hospital, while the third was pronounced dead at the scene.

The unidentified female driver of the truck was also hospitalized in unknown condition. It is unclear at this time what caused her to lose control of the vehicle or if she will face any charges.
