One Person Seriously Hurt in South Tucson Collision

TUCSON, AZ – Police closed a major intersection in southeast Tucson following a collision with injuries Monday morning, KGUN reports.

Officers were called to the intersection of South Country Club Road and East Bilby Road shortly before 9:40 a.m.

The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, at least one person sustained serious injuries as a result.

The intersection was blocked in both directions while emergency crews worked at the scene. All lanes have since been reopened.
