A 4-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, Aug. 15th after he was pulled from water at an apartment complex in Phoenix, reports local officials. It was not known how long the boy was underwater at the complex located at 48th Street and Thistle Landing Drive, according to Phoenix fire spokesman Capt. Todd Keller.
Phoenix Fire Department crews found the boy in his parents’ arms, breathing on his own and crying. Paramedics evaluated the boy and chose to take him to the hospital, Keller said.
Swimming pools can be dangerous to both children and adults who use them. During the summer months in Arizona, there are far too many instances of swimming pool drownings and near-drownings.
