Car Crashes Into Canal, Catches Fire in Peoria

PEORIA, AZ – A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle careened into a canal along Loop 101 in Peoria late Tuesday morning, Fox 10 Phoenix reports.
The accident took place shortly before noon when the unidentified driver veered off of Loop 101 near Olive Avenue.

The vehicle then crashed into a nearby canal before catching fire.
It is still unclear what caused the driver to lose control at this time. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
