Crash in West Tolleson Kills Bicyclist on Buckeye Road

TOLLESON, AZ – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in west Tolleson on Tuesday, AZCentral reports.

The unidentified bicyclist was struck by a Toyota truck while riding east on Buckeye Road near the intersection with 99th Avenue.

Police say the bicyclist was knocked to the ground and was run over several times by an unknown number of vehicles. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver involved remained at the scene and told investigators that he had not seen the cyclist in the dark. It is unclear whether they will face any charges.
