back view of ambulance driving awayPHOENIX, AZ – A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition on Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Phoenix, 12 News reports.

The unidentified bicyclist was hit by a westbound vehicle at about 5 p.m. as they entered the intersection of 24th Street and McDowell Road.

Emergency responders took the cyclist to a nearby hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is not yet clear, but our team will continue to monitor this developing story and provide any further details as they are released to the public.
