TUCSON, AZ - A man died Sunday from injuries sustained in a bicycle crash in East Tucson earlier this month.
According to KGUN-9, the incident occurred on July 2nd near the intersection of South Alvernon Way and East Juarez Street.
Investigators believe the bicyclist, 55-year-old Russell Paul Williamson, was attempting to make a left turn onto Juarez Street when he was struck by a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), Williamson was rushed to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries more than a week later.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and cooperated with police. That individual is not expected to face any charges in connection to the fatal crash.
