Phillips Law Group To Sponsor Annual Stuff the Bus
June 14, 2019
We are pleased to announce that the backpacks were filled on air at AZTV on July 26th and distributed on August, 15th, 2019. Thank you to everyone that participated!
Phillips Law Group is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the “Stuff the Bus” Back to School Driveyet again this year to benefit local area schools. The fourth annual community fundraiser is organized by AZTV, Arizona’s leading local TV station in Phoenix, to help ensure that students are prepared to learn once they head back into the classroom.
Whether you decide to gift school supplies or a backpack full of goodies, each donation can change a child’s life for the better.
Why Stuff The Bus Matters
Giving a child a proper education is one of the most important things we can do. Each year, more than 75 percent of students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program at 800 plus schools in Arizona. In Maricopa County, there are over 650 Title 1 schools with large concentrations of low-income students.
Thousands of students go to school without even a pencil. If students have the learning tools they need to succeed, it can really make all the difference in their education. To date, Stuff the Bus has given over 3,100 backpacks full of school supplies to children in need.
How You Can Help
Our firm is currently preparing to take donations. Participants are welcome to come to our Phoenix office located at 3101 North Central Ave., Suite 1500. We will have boxes in the lobby of our 11th, 13th, and 15th floors and in the lobby of our building. More details to follow with regard to starting dates.
With your donation, every child will receive:
- 1 backpack
- 2 highlighters
- 3 red pens
- 7 blue/black pens
- 1 box of markers
- 1 box of colored pencils
- 2 composition books
- 1 pack of filler paper
- 1 pair of scissors
- 2 boxes of crayons
- 2- pencils
- 2 spiral notebooks
- 4 erasers
- 1 pencil box
- 4 2-pocket folders
- 4 glues sticks
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 pack of index cards
- 2 dry erase markers
We will also be having $5 jean days every Thursday in the office where the money collected will go towards buying school supplies to donate. Last year, our firm raised a total of four boxes full of supplies.
The backpacks are delivered to specific schools in the Phoenix area by AZTV. For the past two years, members of our team have gone to a school in downtown Phoenix to help the children choose a backpack. AZTV will hold a day at their station where people volunteer to stuff the backpacks full of the supplies as well.
Every gift is important. Your support is greatly appreciated!

My review is for Kathy Hudson a legal assistant at the law firm. She is great! She is very professional and a fair based person. She was never rude to me and always called me back. She listened to me and had my best interest as number 1. Mr Nasir who is a supervisor at law firm also was very professional and helpful. Not sure if spelling his name correctly but sorry if not. As far as mr Ross and the lady that runs the front desk reception I would say they are the most unprofessional and rude people I have met at a law firm in my life especially beings they were representing me. But Kathy made it overall a better experience. Thx Kathy.

Working at Phillips Law Group has been great the 1st few years in I noticed how well organized and run this Firm was from Intake to Settlement the Client has the expertise of a staff member uniquely qualified for the particular stage of each Clients claim and all other Law firms try to emulate what we do here but none quite get it right because they lack one major component “Compassion”. We are a FAMILY not just a group of people/employees. We care deeply about each other and our clients’ we are considerate, compassionate and make sure that all our Clients’ needs are met from beginning to end. That’s because we treat our clients just like we treat each other. Nothing like walking through the office and saying Hello to fellow employees who always seem to be smiling. 16yrs in and it only seems to be getting better.

Phillips Law Group is a company that has taught me so many things. Here your work, your dedication, effort and discipline are valued, in addition to the fact that, as a woman, as an immigrant and as a human being, I have been given value and empowerment. We are a successful law firm because all workers feel part of a great family. I am very proud and honored to work at Phillips Law Group.
