ASU Blanketed By Sheriffs Over the Weekend

On Saturday evening there were several DUI arrests by the Maricopa County Sheriff Department and several other law enforcement agencies throughout the area. This is all in order to crack down on underage drinking and excessive partying associated with the Arizona State University football game.

The Sheriffs office reported that they were blanketing the area in order to make it a safe game night for at ASU. Law enforcement officials have recognized that students get kind of crazy during football season and do not always make the best decisions.

A prime example of this is a motorcyclist who was weaving in and out of traffic and appeared to be running from the Sheriff. The man was pulled over claiming he did not see the lights and is not being processed as a DUI driver.

At Phillips Law Group our attorneys recommend alternative methods to drinking and driving at any time. The repercussions of these actions are simply not worth it and could lead to serious injuries or death.
