Amy N. Vela
Amy N. Vela is an attorney in the personal injury division at Phillips Law Group, P.C. She was born and raised in Texas and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Political Science and Legal Reasoning. She relocated to Metro Phoenix to attend Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law. During law school, Amy was held positions in the Student Bar Association and Advocacy Program Against Domestic Violence. Amy participated in internships with the United States District Court, Maricopa Superior Court, Maricopa County Attorney's Office, and Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, and graduating with Highest Pro Bono Distinction.
Since Amy was first licensed to practice law, she has devoted her career to representing and helping victims who have been injured by the negligence of others. She has extensive experience in personal injury cases, having managed many cases through arbitration. She is licensed in Arizona and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court in Arizona.
Amy has represented many clients with different types of claims including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, dog bites, and wrongful death. Amy is a member of the Arizona Association for Justice (formerly AzTLA).
Amy is a huge supporter of the local Arts and business. During her free time, she enjoys supporting local non-profits and volunteering alongside her family as they explore the unique culture of downtown and uptown Phoenix.
