Drinking and driving is never a good decision, and there are still too many examples of innocent people being injured or worse because of drunk driving. This is the unfortunate reality despite all of the efforts of private organizations, public entities and governmental agencies alike. Sadly, police suspect that drinking and driving was once again responsible for a terrible Phoenix pedestrian accident that left a woman fighting for her life. The crash was so severe that the light rail system was delayed, and the driver in the crash was suspected.

According to authorities, this suspected Phoenix DUI accident occurred yesterday when a woman and her husband were struck by the driver of a BMW as they were walking near the Osborn/Central Light Rail station.
