On Wednesday, a Denver news anchor was bit in the face by an 85-pound Argentine mastiff dog during a live broadcast. TV anchor Kyle Dyer was doing an interview about the rescue of Gladiator Maximus, also known as Max who was dramatically rescued on Tuesday after he fell into a Colorado lake, after chasing a coyote.
The objective of the segment was to reunite firefighter Tyler Sugaski, who recued the dog, Michael Robinson, the dog's owner and Max. Dyer was kneeling down and petting the dog's head when the dog suddenly bit her in the face.
Firefighters and animal control was called to the station after the dog attack.
The dog's owner was cited by the Denver Environmental Health Department, for failure to have his dog on a leash, allowing a dog to bite and failure to have the dog vaccinated. The dog will be quarantined until a judge could hold a hearing on the charges.
According to The Palm Beach Post, Dyer had to have reconstructive surgery on her lip to repair her wounds.
