Connecticut Man Injured After SUV Crashes Into His Bedroom

Connecticut police were involved in a high-speed car chase with a BMW X5 Tuesday, when the BMW suddenly crashed into a home. The SUV crashed into the bedroom of 34-year old Michael Sweat and landed on top of him while he was a sleeping.

According to the New Haven Register, it took dozens of firefighters over 90 minutes to remove the two-ton SUV off of Sweat. The newspaper reported that Sweat was in good spirits despite the second-degree and third-degree burns to his buttocks.

The car chase started off in Hamden, CT before ending in New Haven, CT. After the SUV crashed, the motorist fled by foot. He has not been captured yet.
